Dr Shlomi Barak, MD FRANZCOG

Dr Barak is a registered obstetrician, gynaecologist, fertility specialist and andrologist. He graduated with honours from the Technion Medical School in Israel, and completed his residency and specialist training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bnai-Zion Hospital, Haifa, Israel. Dr Barak came to Melbourne to further develop his clinical and research interests in the field of reproductive medicine, under the tutelage of leading world experts in this area, Professor Gordon Baker and Associate Professor John McBain.
Dr Barak maintains a private practice at Melbourne IVF, where he provides investigation and management of all aspects of female and male infertility. He is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Melbourne, a consultant IVF and Andrology specialist at The Women’s Hospital, and is involved in the supervision of trainee obstetricians, gynaecologists and fertility specialists. His various appointments ensure that he has access to, and can provide his patients with, the most up to date information in scientific, clinical and technological advances in the area of reproductive medicine.

Dr Debbie Herbst is a partner at Inkerman Medical Group. Her main interests are in Women and Children’s Health. She is a fully accredited Shared Care GP, caring for women before, during and after pregnancy. She is affiliated with the Royal Women’s Hospital. Dr Debbie works in liaison with many Rabbis when women experience any health related issues that may have Halachic implications.
She also has interests in teaching junior doctors and medical students as well as speaking to various community groups on health matters. Dr Debbie has worked at Masada’s renowned Mother Baby Unit for many years.

Rabbi Elisha Greenbaum is spiritual leader of Moorabbin Hebrew Congregation and co-director of L’Chaim Chabad in Moorabbin, Victoria, Australia.
